Child's Play Exhibition
Child's Play was an exhibition I curated and exhibited in Sheffield's Forum bar. I invited artists such as Nick Deakin, Mute, Jonny Wan Lord Bunn, Lee Bamforth and Jane Faram to name a few, all locally based within Sheffield to showcase their talent in a very public place. The brief was simple, and required the artists to interpret the phrase "Child's Play" giving them total creative freedom on how they went about the subject matter.
My three submitted works were digital collages merging with illustrations, focusing more on the destructive and fun imaginations of children. The "Boom Towers" piece was inspired by the knocking down of Sheffield's Tinsley towers, which caused some uproar within the area due to their nostalgic and historical standing. The typographic title piece "title" was a collaborative effort between me and Jane Faram.
