Don't Party!!!: Jun 2009
Sheffield won't know what hit it afterJune the 8th with Don't Party at SOYO Live . I've been involved with the poster and flyer designs and on the night I'll be joining Leeds Art Collective Best Joined Up, drawing on wooden boards. It should be interesting night of art and music, best of all, its free... free I tells ya!

Color Ink Book: May 2009
A few months ago I was asked on Myspace by an American based Art Collective to submit work to their publication. Color Ink Book has a nice following on the West Coast and judging from their event photos, these guys are spot on. This arrived in the post for me which was a very pleasant surprise.

Don't Panic Dispenser Part 3: May 2009

Don't Panic Dispenser Part 2: May 2009
Box number 2. I'm happy with the back of the box.

SOYO Live: May 2009
Sheffield's new bar SOYO Live invited the Hantu Collective boys and girls to come down and contribute to their live events nights on Mondays. For the launch they managed to pull in many local musicans, notably Little Lost David, Neil McSweeny, Party Horse and Sarah Morrey. We on the otherhand can't do music, but we can print t-shirts on the night, and we can also draw pictures on the spot for people to see, on the night artwork was sold on the spot as it was drawn and t-shirts were printed by keen customers, I also designed a one off Hantu - SOYO Live Design, which could only be bought on the night. Lovely.
All Photos were kindly snapped by Georgina Martin and Sophie Jepson.

Don't Panic Sheffield: May 2009
Incase fellow Sheffielder's haven't realised yet, Don't Panic have now set up shop in Sheffield and dropping envelopes on your door! Or better yet they're leaving the envelopes in little wooden boxes in bars and cool little shops and boutiques.Guess who they asked to draw on a couple...? Here's one of the finished boxes and I'm still inking up the next one as you read this.

Bang Bang Vintage: May 2009
May has been a busy month for me but enjoyable all the same. I was asked by the lovely shopkeepers at Bang Bang Vintage to spruce up their logo design and also as an added bonus, to help them re-design their instore paper bags. After a big exchange of ideas and emails, we came to these design solutions.

House of Suga Launch Liverpool: May 2009
Wednesday 6th of May was the official launch of a new upcoming fashion label hailing from Liverpool. Formed from a bunch of ambitious ladies, House of Suga looks to underpin itself into couture mad buyers. I was commisioned to help design some t-shirts for their mens and womens ranges. The event was held in the beautiful Anglican Cathedral which was cavernous and pretty much awe inspiring. FashionTV were also present at the launch and guess who they collared for an interview? Yup, me! Other than thatI will also be working on their future collections so be on the look out...

Sheffield Craft Mafia Spring Fair: May 2009
The Craft Mafia is the brain child of three of Sheffield's up and coming businesses of Lois, Fancie Cupcakes and Bang Bang Vintage and will be holding their 4th craft fair at Sheffield's Basement Bar on West Street. I will be working alongside my colleagues selling Hantu Collective T-shirt prints on the day. Here's the flyer I designed for the event.
Common Room Display Lightbox: Apr 2009:
In the heart of Sheffield theres a pretty nice pool bar I go to, often to hustle the locals! I was delighted when the Common Room got in touch with me to help them redesign their display lightboxes, which as they put it was pretty out of date. After a couple of weeks I came out with this design to which they were all happy with. Now I just cant wait until they install it, keep a look out when walking past The Forum on Division Street...

I Dress Myself T-shirt Competition Apr 2009:
Hayley who heads the Happy Happy Poster Club in Nottingham pointed me to the direction of a t-shirt competition by the Notts based screen printers, I Dress Myself. The brief simply said, "birds", after hours of contemplating getting way too clever with this, I stuck with something alot more simple.

Hantu Collective: Sweet Dream's Fashion Show Mar 2009
This years show took place in Player's Bar on Sheffield's West Street. This time my involvement in the organisation wasn't as hectic so I was allowed time to work on a new collection of t-shirt prints and on the night, provide "live art" next o the stage. This turned out to b very fun. I have to thank Georgina Martin for providing some nice shots from the night. Hopefully I'll be able to upload more images of the new collection very soon.

Artwork at The Forum Cafe: Mar 2009
From Monday 2nd of March, my new collection of drawings and poster prints will be exhibited at The Forum Cafe in Sheffield's city center. I'm quite happy the manager pulled me in to put my work in there as its a place I enjoy my tea and newspaper. Anyhow here's a couple of the top secret pieces I'd been working on since December...

Hantu Collective: Sweet Dream Charity Fashion Show Mar 2009
Well it is upon us again. No sooner did I return to the UK the boys at Hantu Collective were hollering at putting together another show, just like the one before I left for Prague. So here we are this time, bigger venue, more fashion labels and more gusto! I've been busy working on new prints for the fashion show and they're being kept under wraps until Sunday 1st of March...

new msg Greetings Cards: Jan 2009
Happy New Year! A time for celebration and new beginnings and there had been no better start for me than receiving my card samples from "new msg" a fashion led greetings card company based in Nottingham. I've uploaded some of the designs to the WORK section of the website. Hopefully these will be hitting more stores around the UK, keep your eyes peeled.

Evocreative Work: Sept / Oct/ Nov 2008
For the past few months I've been on a work experience placement with a small Graphic Design studio, Evocreative. They've recently been doing alot of local work with swanky hotels and restaurants, producing high end print, web and branding work, particularly with Prague's Hotel ARIA.
Here is one of Evocreative's promotional postcards they've allowed me to design for them.
Photography: Oct 2008
I've uploaded more photographs taken from my Holga Camera, onto my flickr account, so if you want to have a nosey then have a click on the link. I've found that development of film and scans straight onto disc work out at a bargain here, so it's been nice walking around with my plastic snapper, colour flashing things as I walk by...
Prague: Sept/Oct 2008
Life in the Czech Republic has proved interesting. New foods, new beers, a new language and a new scene to roam around in.
Hantu Collective Ethical Fashion Event: DONE
A big thank you to those who came down to Bia Hoi to check out the clothes from Hantu Collective and Lois. I had alot of fun running around with Ang, Ruth and Nell, we'd worked hard for months on this and we can give ourselves a pat on the back. The event attracted more people than we expected so thats always a nice bonus. A few of my designs were on show too, with people walking away with a few t-shirts, so everyone's happy.
A big thanks goes to: Annie Rae for singing some lovely tunes for us, for MC Nige to warming up the crowd, Anwar for his photography skills, and everyone else who was involved and not forgetting the lovely models, many thanks!
Now I have my adventure in Prague to look forward to...

Hantu Collective Ethical Fashion Event
I've been busy these past few months putting together the Hantu Collective Ethical Fashion Show. For those attending, its a chance to see the collection we've put together in collaboration with EMMAUS, the international homelessness charity that has organisations in Paris and Sheffield.

Recent work: June 2008
Here I've been kept busy by the organisations of V and UNLTD. V commisioned a postcard design for the local Sheffield district to promote their community projects scheme. The funders UNLTD got in touch with Breakin Point to which they allowed me full freedom to design a fun design for a set of hoodies that the staff will be wearing at their stall at this years Glastonbusy, keep on the look out...

Get a loada Geo on youtube...
A few months ago, I was featured in a short interview, involving my work around Breakin Point, a youth group organised to bring t-shirt printing workshops to youth centers and schools. The boys from SENSE Magazine in London put together this lovely piece and posted it on youtube for the public's viewing pleasure, check out the link:

Blogging... May 2008
I've decided to keep an online photo journal of my everyday goings on when I'm out and about in Sheffield...I've been back here for a year since studying at Nottingham Trent University and somehow, Sheffield seems to grow on me more and more as I spend more time walking around the city. Not only that but I recently got a decent camera phone, which I paid no heed to at first, but found that it's actually a quick and easy means to take snap shots, something that I rarely do.
If you're bored and feeling a bit intrigued then feel free to pop by the blog...
My Friend Holga
My friend James Walker (thats him below) has infected me with the Holga virus, the symptoms being checking sunlight, composition, manual focus and framing. The past half year I've been playing around with a Holga Colour Flash CFN 120. It's basically a lump of black plastic and is the most unpredictable and infuriating camera to use...but it's addictive. It turns you into the thinking man's snapper. I'm no real photographer but thanks to this lump of cheap plastic, its given me a real appreciation to the beauty of photography.

I've got a Flickr account online so feel free to stop by and leave me some comments
Happy Happy Poster Club: May 2008
Hayley had been slogging hard for the past few months and had put together the new Happy Happy Poster Club exhibition at Nottinghams new Hand and Heart Gallery.
The event was sweet as a nut, the Hand and Heart Gallery will be an amazing venue when it is fully finished, the upstairs was pretty lively and the skylight is a nice feature for complimenting the work on display with natural light.
My "As Happy As a Hobo" Poster went down well which I'm pleased with, thank you all for those who said nice things about it. and a big big thanks to Hayley Ordidge (her lovely picture below) for organising the event, she's a star.

Voice '08 Liverpool: February 2008
I was lucky enough to be asked to participate in the Voice 08 Social Enterprise Conference, by designing a small collection of t-shirt prints and dance uniforms for the show's performers. I'd gone to Liverpool with Breakin Point who I collaborate with and saw our designs paraded on the catwalk. The models at the show were really nice people, hopefully I'll involve them with the Hantu Collective's promotional work in the future.

Hantu Clothing:
It's been a busy February, having been asked to design a new collection for the Hantu Collective's clothing side, we're being sent to Liverpool for the SE Ethique Fashion Show on Feb 26th where the Hantu label will be on show and the Breakin Point boys will demonstrate the brilliance of the Vinyl cutter and heat press..
Hantu Collective:
The new website is up and running, although only temporary.
Be sure to go back and check the new clothes designs in the next few weeks. Big things are coming our way...

Don't Panic Poster: January 2008
Many thanks to those who voted for my poster entry, got the shock of my life when the Don't Panic people gave me a ring and announced I was voted winner, which I thank all for. Expect the posters to be hitting the streets soon and hey if you want grab a special print, get yourself onto the Don't Panic Website and order one...if you want...
Cheers!
Farewell to "Is This Paradise Studio": January 2008
Moved out of the studio under unforseen circumstances, it is a bit sad to do so and it's shame that moving is such a hassle. I'll miss the place it was always a pleasure to work in there apart from at night time where it gets cold and scary. But I do encourage anyone to move into a studio space if given the chance, its a perfect way to keep the lonliness away...

Barcelona and Bread and Butter: January 2008
Went to Barcelona for a few days to take some photos, soak up the atmosphere and attend the Bread and Butter Fashion Trade show with collaborative, Simeon of Bantum Clothing Ltd. Also managed to catch an awesome Kid Acne gig whilst over there and met a lovely designer lady by the name of Jo Ling.
Me and Simeon managed to stumble across a an event called the "Wild Paint Party" from the look of it, some graffers rented out a big shop/warehouse space and painted it at a party where people were free to wonder in, buy a beer and just marvel at the murals. It's things like that which make Barcelona an ace place to be.
If you want to check out the cool threads from Bantum Clothing Ltd then heres the link, give it a peek:

Happy Happy Poster Club: December 2007
The Happy Happy Poster Club hosted it's 4th exhibition in Nottingham at Lee Rosie's Tea room. The Club head is illustrator Hayley Ordidge who kindly asked me to hand in a contribution to the exhibition.
My poster phrase was "rocking around the christmas tree"
Here is my effort which I had collaborated on with Emma Shore a member of Is This Paradise, she's a dab hand at fabrics and the lot.
H8 Racism Luv T-shirts: October 2007
Exhibitions held at Sheffield's Castle College and The Circle Forum Building. The first show at Castle College proved to be a good success with many students giving all the designs thumbs ups! The second show had a more distinguished audience of the local Sheffield Council members and one Richard Caborn and Lord Mayor of Sheffield!
The Exhibition project was led by Breakin Point with my good friend Angga taking the lead and putting together a brilliant exhibition, top marks.
